How to Keep Your Volkswagen Alive : A Manual of Step-By-Step Procedures for the Complete Idiot
I used to own this book back in the early 90's. I loved it! Now they say it has a new section on the electrical system and a revised list of clubs, magazines, and parts places. I found the old version extremly easy to understand and it wasn't boring at all. The author had a sense of humor. I can only imagine how much I should have this one.
Air-Cooled Vw Engine Interchange Manual by Keith Seume.
I am currently reading a different book by the same author, all about the beetle. I really like the book, well written and thorough. If the Engine Interchange Manual is anything like the beetle history book I'm reading, than it too should be an excellent choice!
